The USPTO will be closed on both Thursday and Friday, Dec. 25-26 2008. Any action or fee due on these days will be considered timely if the action is taken, or the fee paid, on the next succeeding business day on which the USPTO is open, that is, Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 |

USPTO Announces Delay of Effective and Applicability Dates of New BPAI Rules |

The USPTO has announced that the final rule relating to practice before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences (BPAI) in ex parte appeals will not take effect on December 10th as originally scheduled. New effective and applicability dates will be identified in a subsequent announcement. The announcement is available here.
