Collective mark
A sign registered in the name of union, association, or other group with legal personality indicates the goods/services provided by their members.
Defensive mark
If a registered trademark is well-known in Japan, and using of that trademark in other goods or services might reduce its distinctiveness in original designated goods and services. Then that trademark could be registered as a defensive trademark to expand its trademark right to all classes other than the original desiganated goods and services classes. Thus, any registration of said trademark in non-conflicting classes by third party is prevented.
